Despite a total global smartphone shipments showing a decline in 2018 Huawei has actually increased market share to an 18.2% in Q4 2018, up 2%. Its strong suit of powerful and sleek devices has no doubt played a pivotal role in that but the company is also playing a pivtal role in future technologies such as 5G.

One of their first devices to be armed with the Balong 5000 modem, the Huawei 5G CPE Pro supports both 4G and 5G wireless connections. At 5G speeds a 1GB HD video clip can be downloaded within three seconds, and 8K video can be streamed smoothly without lag.
The application possibility is more than just for home use though, as it can also be used by small and medium-sized enterprises for super-fast broadband access. The 5G CPE Pro supports Huawei HiLink protocols.
