Illegear have just announced the launch of the Illegear Selenite, what it claims to be the world’s first 17.3” bezel-less gaming laptop. In fact, the bezel is so slim that the entire display fits into a 15.6″ form factor – very impressive. The Selenite also features a full-sized brown switch (silent) mechanical keyboard, is surprisingly slim at 25 mm and weights in at 2.25kg.
The InfiniVision bezel-less technology frames a 144Hz IPS display with sRGB 100% gamut, pretty much top of the line as far as gaming laptoip screens go today. The high frequency display is idea for fast-pace gaming and will result in minimal screen tearing.
For gamers, of course there will also be interest in the GeneSwitch brown, the mechanical keyboard in the Illegear Selenite. This keyboard is slightly different from prior ones used in Illegear laptops since it is almost completely silent. Despite that, the keyboard still has that next-level tactile feel and responsiveness.
The Illegear Selenite comes with either the Intel 8th gen. i7-8750H or i9-8950HK along with NVIDIA GTX1060 6GB mid-level graphics. The system supports up to a maximum of 32GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666MHz and up to 4TB storage capacity (2x M.2 SSD and 1x 2.5” SATA slots).
