Details on the Gigabyte Radeon RX VEGA 64 Gaming OC

Gigabyte has just released their gaming flavour of the Radeon RX Vega 64 card. Paired with 8GB of 2048-bit High Bandwidth Memory, the Gigabyte Radeon RX VEGA 64 Gaming OC card is cooled by their Windforce 2X cooling system.

Tuned up for a speed bump over AMD’s reference design, this card runs at 1,276MHz with a boost clock rate of 1,560MHz. These figures are marginal on the surface at slightly over 2% faster.

The Windforce 2X system sees twin 100mm fans paired with five composite copper heat pipes in direct touch to the GPU. Heat from GPU not only gets dissipated utilizing the massive cooling module in the front but also through the back side with a copper plate. Other cooling features include an alternate spinning fan design, angular fin design and semi-passive fan profile.

The card can support a maximum of 6 displays in a 3 Display port and 3 HDMI output-configuration. The additional HDMI ports also allow connection of VR headsets.

As with almost all Gigabyte products, this card is again toughened up with the highest-grade chokes and capacitors for durability. A 12+1 power phase design offers stability and a lower component temperature.

The company has hinted that it will be releasing a similarly-configured card based on the Radeon RX Vega 56 soon.
